Winlink on Raspberry Pi with LinBPQ - error 98

When I run screen -r bpq it's giving me a Telnet error failed port 8080 error 98.? ? I used a command someone offered in the threads to see what other applications were using that port and it said TCP.? ? I note that I have this port selected within Pat configuration menu.? The assumptin is that they are conflicting.? ? If this is the case which one should I change and what port number is everyone using? ? Issue 2 -?I noted Persist and slottime warnings while watching screen -r dw.? ? Saw the same thing on Jason's video in the background.? Screen -r dw mentions to check the Direwolf user manual for settings.? ? I noted for comms transmit a few more entries that weren't called out in the Direwolf.conf file.? ? I entered them, rebooted, and the warning went away but my gateway stopped responding to my terminal connection requests.? ? I went back in and removed the comments, saved the file, and rebooted.? Still can't get my gateway to transmit like it was.? ? Does changing the direwolf.conf file change other files or random settings for transmit? ? Thank you, ? KM6QAQ 73
Don Poaps All Messages By This Member #13683 It's been a long time since I played with BPQ. What have you set up in BPQ.CFG file pointing to your winlink info. There is an area where you would use a hardware tnc. I used it before sound cards were used. Can you post your bpq.cfg minus passwords etc? I still have my bpq.cfg but it would be of no help to you. We maybe able to clean info to point you in the right direction. The best place I got my help was the BPQ group. km4ack All Messages By This Member #13684 Jeremy, ? I prefer to change the port for Pat Winlink. This can be done in the pat config file. Once you change the port in the pat config file, be certain to update your Pat Menu config to match what you set in the pat config file. Updating the port in Pat Menu DOES NOT change the pat config file. ? Changing the direwolf.conf file does not change any other setting outside of that one file.? ? If you are having issues with BPQ, I would refer you to their forum as they deal with config issues daily. I know just enough about BPQ to be dangerous :-) /g/bpq32/topics ? -- 73, de KM4ACK \| \|
