Patreon:Re: [KM4ACK-Pi] PAT Menu fails treying to open localhost or 127.0.0.1

fwiw, for a week now I have tried to even delete and re-install the whole 73Linux enchilada.
just copying the script from a page of Jason's ...then into a terminal ,,,then get the notice that 73Linux is already a folder AND it isn't empty.

reminder: this all started when I tried to run Pat Menu and get varaHF ..then winlink going ...when the browser comes up, there is an error -refused access to localhost. There is no firewall online, there is no Proxy ...I've tried Firefox, Chrome and Edge, just for Kix.

Just to verify my sanity, I botched my config file on a 64bit version of Bookworm. Stopped the pat service. Tried to restart, got error. Ran the repair in Pat Menu and it fixed the config file as expected. At this point, I would certainly suggest reinstalling Pat. I can't imagine what else would cause the error.

If you are trying to start from scratch make sure you erase the 73Linux folder in your home directory. That will allow 73Linux to run from the beginning. One other suggestion is, if you've borked up the install, just reflash the microSD card and start over. Transfer any files you want to save to another device. I usually install Filezilla on all my linux machines. In fact its on my windows computers as well.?

I just managed to replace 73Linux folder with all the "Build It" checked ...then ran Pat Menu.
Same problem ...new screenshot depicting no access to localhost ...plus an ardop error.

I can't see enough of the screen shot you sent. Open Pat Menu->Quick Stats and tell us what is in the "Pat Port" box. Also from, Pat Menu->Setting/Config->Current Config Setting what is in the Pat Port setting on this page? If these don't match, it will cause the issue you are running into.

Your pat server (pat service) isn't running in the background like it should be. What happens if you start pat from the command line with:
pat http

I'll guess it produces errors and won't start. This typically indicates an error in your pat config file. If this is the case, try Pat Menu->Manage Pat Winlink->Repair Pat Config

Why is there a? (? .? )? in the ARDOP path in the example below?

That does not show up in Jason's example.
