Pat telnet works
Trying to run Packet...

In Pat Menu - Configuration - I set Rig Control to yes. And? changed the Pat Port to 5000. I hit update. I reboot.
?
I run Flrig
I start the Packet modem - it appears to start...
?
Browser opens - and tries to connect to port 5000. Fails. I try port 8080 - and it works - hmmm
I try to connect to my W6SON-10 - radio never goes in to transmit.
?
Feels like PAT PORT change didn't take, and Rig Control in configuration didn't take.
?
I go back to pat menu and look at the configuration - the rig control is set to yes, and port to 5000. For sure port didn't take effect. Maybe rig control didn't (or I may have some other issue with rig control).

If you're worried about your port, did you open pat configure and check the port? You can change it in Pat Configure. You'll need to restart the service afterwards or reboot. On Sat, Sep 7, 2024, 18:28 Jim KM6GUO via <km6guo=[email protected]> wrote:

OK - I found a post that points out that I have to change the port # with "pat configure" as well as the change in Pat Menu configuration. So that was a red herring (ok - pilot error).
?
So the issue with the radio not going in to transmit is perhaps unrelated to the configuration settings in Pat Menu.
?
Note that the frequency does change as I choose different servers to connect to.
