Hot Spot Issues

 

Hello there, I followed the tutorial to setup the hotspot from your YouTube video and I see the hotspot on my phone, but when I try and connect it says wrong password. When trying I open the hostpad.conf to change the name of the hotspot/see the password the file is empty? What am I missing here hihi TNX es 73 de Jesse WJ4VA
 

Take a look at HotSpot Tools. It is by far the easiest way to manage the hotspot and avoid common issues.

Thanks Jason installed hotspot tools and it¡¯s all working as expected now (password was what ?entered plus a bunch or random stuff but I changed it )with the only exception being instead of the two blue arrows I have two red x¡¯s.....but it works and I can VNC to it from iPad and control so I don¡¯t really care hihi. Thx es 73 Jesse WJ4VA?
 

The red arrows mean that you do not have an internet connection.

Makes sense! ?I guess in the demo James had an Ethernet cable connected so it had internet at the same time was using the WiFi module as a hotspot.?
