I've been using Buster on my pi4 and wanted to upgrade to Bullseye and install BAP.? Bullseye looks like its installing, but after awhile, nothing happens and it's a black screen.? Could it be my display?? I've switched hdmi ports but still nothing?? I've searched but I dont seem to find an answer.? Any help would be appreciated.?

When I first installed Bullseye on a Pi, it didn’t come with a GUI — it was command line only and then you could install any of a number of GUI packages. Granted, this was very close to the day when Bullseye 64 bit was officially released, so this may have changed now. But I had similar behavior of booting to a (almost) black screen, except for a little cursor at bottom left.

Other things to investigate are your /boot/config.txt settings, especially the HDMI options: read?
