Pat seems to have some issues. It says it¡¯s missing my grid square. I¡¯ve tried to update it via Pat Menu. But when I try to start Pat via a bookmark or via Pat Menu it won¡¯t display the website.

More than likely it is a port issue. Check out this post /g/KM4ACK-Pi/message/6237

Run these commands and post any errors:
sudo killall pat
pat http

This will stop pat if it is running in the background and manually start it from the terminal. If it starts without errors, leave the terminal window open. Open the browser and navigate to 127.0.0.1:5000 and you should see the pat inbox.

Again, didn't work.

Left the terminal window open and opened Chromium and navigated to Pat () and I still get the same error that it can't connect.

OF NOTE: Before you sent that last email, Jason, I decided to manually change the port from 5000 to 8080 in the address URL bar and BOOM. That brought up the Pat web page. I have been using port 5000 for months since I nuked & paved this Pi build. It should be using port 5000.

Thanks & 73.

Jeff

It's fine to run it on port 8080. The only reason for running it on 5000 is to also allow you to run the Emergency Email Server on the same Pi which requires port 8080. If 8080 is working for you, change your Pat Port in Pat Menu settings to 8080 and you should be in business.
