I needed to use a cellular data connection last weekend in supporting a 100 mile foot race when our antenna was damaged in a microburst and was unable to ADD and USE my cellphone Hotspot.? I used Hotspot tools to find the SSID and added it but HSToolst left off the second half of the SSID because there was a space in it.

My cellphone SSID is "Daves iPhone" and Hotspot tools only sees "Daves" as the SSID when it stores the new SSID and subsequently it won't connect when I select "Daves".? HS Tools need to capture the whole SSID including the space and work with the full SSID.

Thanks for the report Dave. It is a in hotspot tools. It is on the schedule to be resolved this fall.

A short term solution on your iPhone, would be to go to “General - About - Name” under “Settings” and change the name of your phone to eliminate the “space”.

I know this now.? I didn't know this on the mountain.? Thanks for the suggestion and work-around.
