Conky not showing correct time and date

Conky is not showing the correct time and date. Gpsmon shows correct time/date but Conky shows yesterday about 11 hours off. Time is changing - seconds are increasing.so Conky is reading something.
How do I get this to correct? I have restarted gpsd and Conky and rebooted but Conky still lags by about that much.

Thanks in advance,
Richard

Conky gets the current local time from your Pi system clock. Double check that the time zone is set correct on the Pi.

Thanks. Checked the pi config on the main menu. Time zone was off by one -EDT vs CDT. Still off by almost 35 hours. Found the ‘sudo date -s …’ command. That fixed it after reboot. Not sure how it got off so far. I do shut the pi/DRAWS off frequently due to the heat - Texas. I’ll check it and see if it gets off again. Didn’t get a battery with the DRAWS so that may be a need.?

Jason,
I shut down the pi last evening to check if the time/date would update at restart. No such luck. Conky shows last evening at shutdown time.?
Suggestions?

If you are not connecting to the network, you could set up an ntpd daemon (like the gpsd daemon) and have it pull the time from your GPS. (If you are using one.
Another option is an inexpensive RTC clock hat for the Pi...
If you need a setup script let me know...

Kevin is correct. You will either need a GPS or a RTC if not connected to the internet because the Pi doesn't have a RTC built in. A cheap/easy way is to share the GPS from your mobile phone https://youtu.be/rkmQxvT8BpQ
