Conky Time Display Question

Kevin Scott

So.. I feel kinda dumb asking this... But I just noticed that the "Local" and "Zulu" time displayed using Conky, don't advance smoothly, rather the seconds stop, then restart, then stop, etc,, etc.?

The CPU display (confirmed by "top") is showing that the system is not being overtaxed.? I see kinda the same phenomena if I pull up "gpsmon" and look at the time value being read from the GPS.? But this is not a GPS issue, if I disconnect the GPS, the same thing happens. I also see it both on my RPi 4 as well as the RPi 3b+.? I also see it on a clean install of Buster with no BAP script applied.

I'm not reporting a problem, just curious as to the cause.? I was surprised when I noticed it and have been trying to uncover a cause.

Thanks!

OK...?? Figured this out ....?? This is a VNC refresh issue....? If you connect a display directly to the PI...?? All is well....

Sorry for the noise...
