I did it

Well I took the plunge and bought a Pi4 kit.? I will be using this as a desktop and my station desk.? I plan on using it for digital modes and general web browsing.? I am looking forward to learning how to operate it and learn the system.

So I got the pi up and running today. Loaded up using noobs. ?Then after reading that noobs can cause issues I downloaded the newest raspian program. I flashed the sad card with the new raspian os. Up until today I have never messed with Linux and would like to get better at it. I am looking for the best Linux book for beginners that will really help me to learn. Any suggestions?

I have an online class that runs about 45min for less than $9. It covers the basics of working with the command line.

Very cool, Jason. I didn't know you had an online course!

There are also plenty of resources available right inside the latest version of Raspberry Pi OS, if you don't mind reading/following along a PDF. Unless Build-a-Pi changes something.

Click on the Raspberry Pi icon at the top left to drop down the menu items. Go down to Help, and the first item should be the Bookshelf. You have free access to all issues of The MagPi magazine and all the books the Raspberry Pi Press has published (as well as HackSpace magazine and Wireframe magazine). Lots of resources for beginners.

Alternatively, these free PDFs can be found at??Go poke around there, tons of really cool stuff!?
