Best Micro SD card for Raspberry pi 4
Hi I am using a raspberry pi 4B 8gb. And want to improve the lags I am having on different applications like PaT, YAAC, Sdr++, etc..
What is the fastest micro SD card in your experience for using every software for emcom and ham radio in one Raspberry with out lags for Sdr, Vara HF, Fldigi, and all the 73 Linux softwares?
?
All this is for operations portable, outdoor.

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýCounterfeit cards are an issue, so rather than suggest a specific brand I suggest you make a point of using a card from a major brand bought from a reputable retailer that likely buys their inventory from the mfg.You can get an SSD 'hat' to use an SSD attached to the USB 3.0 (3.1?) port. Class 10 cards are among the fastest, but an SSD is the preferred solution. There are many options, I like the Argon40 M.2 case, for example, but there are other boards and cases to consider. ? ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýThere is a really nice and pretty in depth write up in the direwolf docs about some of this. For speed get off the sd and move to an ssd or something. The cards aren¡¯t made for caching, they work but it¡¯s not what they are made for. Lots of nice cases out there that allow the ssd or make it easy to do. I found it to be night and day difference in performance! Thanx, Tom On Sep 30, 2024, at 1:06?PM, Ken N2VIP via groups.io <ken@...> wrote:
