Don't worry Glenn, it's perfectly normal for the U-blox-7 GPS to stop working EVERY time you reboot the Pi.

Xastir SignaLink Direwolf
I apologize if I'm just not getting it and I've searched and searched and watched a few videos and get stuck at the same place.
I have BAP 3.0.8 SignaLink connected GPS Connected When I start direwolf here's my results: ** Dire Wolf version 1.6 Includes optional support for:? hamlib cm108-ptt Reading config file direwolf.conf Audio device for both receive and transmit: plughw:2,0? (channel 0) Channel 0: 1200 baud, AFSK 1200 & 2200 Hz, E+, 44100 sample rate / 3. Note: PTT not configured for channel 0. (Ignore this if using VOX.) Ready to accept AGW client application 0 on port 8000 ... Ready to accept KISS TCP client application 0 on port 8001 ... **** In all your videos you get the device name of the KISS TNC for entry in the Xastir Interface Control dialog box. So I end up stuck here and can't proceed. 73 de Jeff KO4NCC |

Marty,? It is a 4 gigabyte model, but that would be good to check for other?models! Results: I ran the BAP script again and, seemingly, all the applications installed. Thanks to everyone who chimed in to help! Jim? On Wed, Sep 1, 2021 at 7:40 AM Marty Hartwell <mhartwe@...> wrote:

Re: Buddipole Mini 2?
Hey all, If you are needing extra voltage from your power mini, I sort of have a work around. I only use one of my powerpole power out ports for my radio. So, to power my laptop or pi (or just charge my phone) I made a powerpole to cigarette lighter (12v) port connector. Then, I found a dual usb C car adapter that supports up to 36 watts out. Even hooking up my computer and phone, I can charge both while running 100 watts output on my radio. If anyone has a better solution, I am definitely all ears! ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi I have been only following this a little, but if this is a Pi with only 2GB of memory you will have to increase the swap space to get Fldigi to complete its build. Maybe some of the others also. I know on my HP running the e86 Raspian OS I had to increase the swap to 2048. Marty kd8bj

After reading the FAQ's last night, I found that the newer versions of build a pi can run the script multiple times to install software. I will give that a run this morning when I get to the machine. I did go through and try three different installs. On the last one I did the manual checking as you suggested it still had the same result. Might be a dumb question....
#rpi
So I am trying to install build a pi on a fresh install of Raspbian (on a RPi 3 B+). I run the script from GitHub and input my call, plug in the GPS, hotspot info, etc. I click "check all and continue" for all software packages. Problem is, when I finish with the install, most of the software did not install. When I have done older versions of BAP, they have installed all.?
Am I doing something wrong? Thanks! |

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýHi Jason, I have noticed that the GPS/GLONASS direct USB mount dongle is clearly weaker than the G-MOUSE RoHS IPX6 magnetic mount GPS and the GlobalSat BU-353-S4 USB magnetic mount GPS dongles.? Watching <CGPS> over time on a Pi-4-B the GLONASS has flaky difficulties when plugged directly to the USB port, dropping in and out and in continually, where the other GPSes are not flaky at all.? I tried the GLONASS on a two foot USB extension cord inside the house on my Pi-4-B and it, though still a weaker GPS receiver, did not flake out and came up quicker.? The GLONASS is not at all flaky on any of my Pi-3-Bs and maintains and maintains 7 to 9 satellites inside the house, whereas on the Pi-4-B it receives 4 to 6 satellites. 73 Herm, W7HRM On 8/31/2021 7:26 AM, km4ack wrote:

Yes, blinking steadily like it did when it was working in Conky.ok. let's see if the pi is getting the data. In a terminal, run: cgps and verify you have GPS data. Provided you do, run this command next: ~/bin/conky/get-grid and see if it returns your grid square or produces errors. If it give you errors, please post them. -- 73, de KM4ACK
