Re: WSJT-x works with FT891 but crashes when connected to G90

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

My cure was a good snap on ferrite choke from Palomar-Engineers with three passes of the USB cable going through it on the end nearest the computer. I had tried several smaller ones snapped on that I got on Amazon and they didn¡¯t work. Just a thought. I also changed all my ground wires from the equipment to flat braided cables. I never thought it would really make a difference but let me tell you¡:. Wow! I bought a whole kit from Palomar and put ferrites on everything¡. My issues all ceased ?as well as noise level dropped dramatically.?

Well I have substituted a dummy load for the antenna and WSJT-X still crashes at the instant it tries to transmit.? If I manually transmit the G90 everything stays operational.? However, if I let the program transmit an FT8 signal ... instant crash.

Update:? I have tried to send via FLDIGI and the system worked 4.0, as designed.? Back to WSJT and instant crash when it attempted to transmit.

Re: Dire Wolf Problem "Could not open audio device plughw:2,0 for input #antenna

Thats great to hear Jim, looking foward to getting my RIM Alinco 9600 and testing things out, sounds like it should do the trick, I'm planning to do linbpq bbs and stuff, but it will all be new to me. First I at least want to try connecting into another local 2m packet station and then setup my own dedicated one w/ pi

Re: Dire Wolf Problem "Could not open audio device plughw:2,0 for input #antenna

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

I just purchased the same radio and the RIM Alinco 9600 module as well.? I stood it up on a fresh box for our clubs Winlink gateway using RMS Packet and Windows 10.? It was very easy to do and is working very well.? I bought a second radio and module to stand up as my aprs digipeater/gateway for BAP.? But haven¡¯t attempted that project yet.? So, will be glad to see what you learn here.? But so far, very pleased with the $50 Rim Alinco Module.

I just picked up an Alinco DR-135 MKIII and waiting on a RIM ALINCO 9600 module from repeater builder to test things out, not sure if I should of went with the normal one thats only 1200 baud or not, was hoping could do both with this one. How are you interfacing your Alinco to your pi?

Oops forgot link to repeater builder RIM lite modules, curious if anyone else is running these? I thought since it was $50 vs signal link I would give it a shot, seems popular in vara forum:?

This is normal as you have turned off rig control in direwolf by commenting out the line. What isn't making sense to me is why it isn't working. If you need CAT PTT control with your setup, you need this line in direwolf.conf.

With FLRIG open run the following command please:
rigctl -m 4 f
and see if it returns the frequency of the radio. With the command above "rigctl -m 4 f" we are asking hamlib to get the frequency from FLRIG. I am wondering if that link is broken.

Re: IC-7300/Pat issues unresolved

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Did a new install too yesterday and same issue
I went to settings and ptt was on
But although Ardop show ptt red etc radio did not ptt
I then went to the other config file and it say ptt not true. Set to true and all working now 100%

I also noted after many bap installs that the right way is to tick install all at bottom of each page.?
If i select only certain items it is not working for pat mail at all

Hope this help

Still trying to get qsstv latest version to ptt

That happens very frequently... I think it's just a timing issue. You'll still be able to transmit, now that you've got everything working.

BTW, I sent you a test message via Winlink. :-)
