Hey everyone...
So, I've been trying to play a little bit with getting my IC-705 to work with Direwolf & Xastir.
In addition to Jason's vids, I've also found this site helpful:
Here's what I'm noticing... (and why I think I may not have something set quite right).
With my 705s volume turned up a little, I can **hear APRS traffic with my ears, but not everything I hear is showing up in the Direwolf window.
In other words, it's like I'm hearing traffic with my own ears, but Direwolf is missing it.
But it's not missing everything.
It has a couple of close by beacons listed [and they show up on the Xastir map].
I have my radio set to FM-D, 144.390, obviously. I'm running at full 10w, and have it hooked to my outdoor Tram dual band antenna (granted, it's only about 10ft up.)
If anyone knows of some 'setup notes' that are already out there online for this type of configuration, feel free to send me a link!
