Fun 40M net last night
40M was great last night. 9 folks checked in besides myself and everyone could hear everyone else. W6JPG John's signal was really strong and his audio was fantastic - best I've ever heard, even better than 2M. Thanks to those that came out for the net. For those that couldn't make it, we do this every Wednesday evening at 7pm on 7.242 LSB. If the frequency is already in use, check your email or groups.io to find out where we moved to, or tune up and down (usually up) the dial until you find us. Dave AI6VX

Get together thanks and info on Sunday's 10M net
We had a nice turnout and pretty good weather at our Portable Radio and Help session + ARRL Ham Radio Open House day. The Sun was welcome, but the winds we could have done without. I counted 19 signatures in the log, 2 of which were new hams and excited to see folks playing radio. As far as I know, nobody came based on my NextDoor posting of the event nor because of our listing on the ARRL website for a 'Ham Radio Open House'. We will be holding these Portable Radio and Help events once every month on Saturday, our next one scheduled for May 17th. Separately, I have Easter plans this Sunday and will not be able to host the 10M net. Sorry, but don't use that as an excuse not to get on the air yourself and hear who you can reach! Thanks again for today! Dave AI6VX

Thanks to Dave, AI6VH and Ed, WB6IQN for supplying a bunch of us with all the antennas! I look forward to using the DBJ-1 as a portable base antenna for my next public service event. It works great. And if you need a 5 ft. piece of PVC to finish your antenna, please let me know and I'll bring it to the next VCARC meeting. 73, Tom W?UFC

Hermes Lite 2
Have one for sale, brand new, not taken out of boxes. Hermes Lite N2ADR Filter Board Case To put it together, you should have some non-conductive thermal paste, and sandpaper, or some way to scrape the paint out of about 2in square inside of the case for the heatsink. (Actually, I can include some thermal paste if you don't have any...) 5 watt, 10-160m all mode. Don't buy this if you're not computer literate. Sell for the exact price I paid - $338. With tariffs, this may be the last time you can get your hands on one! I'll have mine at the Open House this Saturday, if you want to see a Hermes Lite.

Huge amount of equipment for sale
Hello everyone I am Alan Majeski, AK6MF. I joined the club last October and got my Amateur extra license in March this year. I have been involved in electronics since my tour of duty with the USN in the 1980¡¯s and I have been running my own calibration business since 2001. I never found the time to get involved with ham radio until now as I am decommissioning my laboratory and retiring this year. As a result, I have a lot of test equipment which I need to remove from the books and liquidate. There is too much to list, but just an example: VNA¡¯s, power supplies, signal generators, power meters, spectrum analyzers, frequency counters, RF loads, audio filters wave analyzers, etc. etc. If you are looking to upgrade your RF test bench, of just need something for a project, let me know. I am donating 30% of all sales to the club general fund. 73 AK6MF
