μField Day is happening again, January 19th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, at
the usual spot (details below). A VERY special thanks to Ventura County
Fire Department; I had asked for the date but given all the fires, did
not expect it to be available.
If ever there was a time to make sure your portable gear is in order,
this is it! And if you don't have a portable setup, you need to come and
see what other people are doing-it doesn't have to be complex or expensive.
The weather prediction is for 4 mph winds-nice! It'll be a great chance
to feel a bit guilty about our winter weather too-sunny and 60 degrees.
Plus, everyone who attends has a good time-if you never have, now's the
time! Everyone is welcome, hams, non-hams, etc.
Same location, at the Ventura County Fire Department’s training ground
at Camarillo Airport. This is at the east end of Durley avenue, and I’ll
have some signs there. Or set your nav to 34.2084, -119.0722. 11:00 am
to 3:00 pm as always, and we’ll have water and some shade on hand; bring
your own lunch, radio, etc.
