• Operators needed for the Sequoia Century, June 2 - 1 Update

Eben M Haber <eben@...>: Mar 25 07:47AM -0700 Hey everybody, ? The Sequoia Century is an annual charity ride from Foothill College through the mountains and back. Given that many areas of the ride have little or no phone coverage, we need a variety of radio operators for roles including: ? - Net Control at Foothill College - Communications from rest stops ("Break Priority, running low on Oreos!") - SAG vehicles ("SAG 7, can you pick up a rider with a broken bike in La Honda...") ? We also need SAG drivers. I used to do this with my wife, she would communicate and I would drive, you get to see great scenery and help raise money for some local charities. (And I'd do it again if I hadn't been drafted as SAG captain.) You can also practice your deployment skills by setting up your gear in a SAG driver's car and help direct them while they keep their eyes on the road. ? If interested: Click Here To Sign Up <> ?
