[ARRLNTX] Survey of In-Person Ham License Training and In-Person Testing
Howdy, ? Bill, K5DHY, and John, N5TIM, are correct. The Garland Amateur Radio Club, K5QHD, has been running Technician and General classes. We just finished a technician class. We are going to try to have a either another Technician or General class before the end of the year. ? Yes,? ? is a good resource and recommended by the ARRL. ? I estimate that 75% of new hams are self taught. They are encouraged to contract? <education@...>? with their questions or to enquirer about the next class. They are welcome to visit: ? ? I am here if they have any questions.? Again? <education@...> ? Thanks, ? John M. Abbott, Garland Amateur Radio Club, Education Director ? ? -----Original Message-----

Hi All, An "Uncooked Ham" reached out to me to ask about availability of in-person training for a technician license in DFW. Park Cities ARC has not begun any in-person training (we were born during the pandemic) and are still building out our first VE testing team. Could you take a moment to respond back and let me know if your club is currently offering in-person training and testing? 73, Dawson ki5kmq ? |
