The Texas A&M University Meteorology Study Abroad group has traveled into the future and down under. They will be in Australia and Tasmania?until May 23?[the 24th for them as they are 15 hours ahead of us.] They have multiple instances of free time listed on their itinerary and plan to try to operate whenever possible. They packed three QDX digital transceivers [both upper and lower bands], one SSB rig, four antennas and multiple batteries. [We did not hear any alarms when the radio bag went through airport security!] Licensed operators are:
