Our meeting starts at 7p, and we take care of club business first, generally about half an hour, then a short break, and then the program, so you can come just to present and we can set you during the break. Hi All, It appears that the reason PMC is taking so long to re-approve is they've halted approvals for almost everything due to preparing for the outbreak in Texas as well as the construction on the other building. I've asked them to push through my single repeater install due to a CERT training coming up which is what got that reason. I'm expecting that to install more than that (multiple antennas and microwave links) will take a little longer approval process due to them being overloaded at the moment, I'll keep pushing though. Today's update from Sam, our speaker form the National Weather Service. He still plans on being here Monday. but. Again, I'll be away on Monday - school spring break for the kids on Frisco so we're taking a trip. If there's a backup idea, it might be good to have something in-pocket in case of a federal closure, or in case more people get fired from the NWS and Sam's included, etc. I don't want to cancel or bump him to a later date after having spent nearly a year trying to schedule a NWS presentation. And I don't want to schedule a second speaker as backup, and then not let the backup presenter present because Sam could still come. Thoughts? Hello Lonnie - Below is my submission for Field Day This year we plan to use Field Day as an opportunity to promote HAM Radio in general and PARK specifically. Here are some idea's I'm kicking around for this year: Different communications modes/format. The idea here is to demonstrate how HAM radio can leverage the internet through DMR, Echolink and AllStar. We could also demonstrate how PARK uses solar power during Field Day and how HAM is used for emergency communications. Please let me know if you have any favorite communications modes you'd like to demonstrate for Field Day. It might also be fun for anyone interested to come out Saturday evening for a cook-out and get together for the club members. If that sounds good, rrach out to me and let's plan an event for the club.

Do libraries have flyers for local activities any more? If they do, and could consider having a flyer or pamphlet for PARK then we coudl also enlist public libraries in the Plano area to host some flyers that promote ham radio and specifically promote PARK - we can assess the effectiveness of different campaigns by putting a QR code and web page specifically for each campaign - library flyers - Interested in radio communications? Check out PARK local ham mailers - Congrats on your license, check out PARK & Field Day! store flyer - Hey HAM, join us for out next club meeting and Field Day PR bulletins to local news - Interested in Radio, PARK's next meeting features this program... e-mails to high schools and colleges etc. Your imagination is the limit when it comes to ways we can start to actively promote PARK to the surrounding community. Right now, none of this happens on a regular basis so adding anything is a massive improvement. With distinct landing pages for each outreach campaign, we can count, specifically, how many people hit that page, and when. Hi Anthony, That's correct, we do, Kip is also thinking we have insurance for this type of thing, can we confirm we have it and what the limits are? This could be quite expensive if we get in to repeater modules and controllers. I just happen to be at an icom dealer and can pick up a module before heading back to Dallas today, I have lots of UHF modules so only need the VHF. Miranda

Hi Board members, Early this morning the K5PRK repeaters stopped working during a skywarn operation, upon inspection today it is determined that the power supplies running the site have been destroyed, probably by lightning. Recovery is underway though the resolution path is unclear at the moment as I am out of town, due back in later tonight. I will keep the board updated as repair moves along. Miranda
