It was not humor. I apologize if it came across that way, as it was
not my intent.
I see nothing humorous about what is happening.
It was sincere concern that I had not heard form the NWS,? in
months.
Each day brings news of another federal department that faithfully
serve everyday Americans being decimated.
The shutting down message is a fact of life right now.
The e-mail I received form the NWS clearly indicates
they
are also concerned about being here next month.
Nothing about what is being done to America is humorous, or
positive, in any way, to me.
If it came across as humor, it may have been because I was trying to
overcompensate to not feel shut down and decimated myself by what I
see going on. As this is not the place, I'll keep my personal
worries and how this is affecting my family, to myself.

Anthony,?
I
know you sought to share some timely humor.
However,
that shutting down message wasn't the best thing to say during a
ham meeting. WE are under the shadow of shutting down as members
die off and leave.
It
landed with a thud with my visitor.

Hi Anthony!
We've got an excellent meteorologist lined up for it
for 3/17, his name is Sam Shamburger, I've cced him on
this email.
Barring a government shutdown we should be good to go!

Happy New Year.
We're looking forward to confirming our speakers for
the new year and have the NWS scheduled,
tentatively, for March 17th, at 7p in Plano TX.
We have a video screen we leverage for our own slide
presentation for the business part of the meeting.
Your presenter can either just bring a powerpoint on
a USB stick that we load up on the laptop already
connected, or they can bring anything that has a
HDMI output to the TV we use in the space.
