147.180 Repeater

Ron,

Thanks for the heads up.? I will look into it.? While the heat may be a factor, we had a power issue two weekends ago that may have affected the output power on the repeater.? I will see what we can find.

Good morning - this is Ron - KJ5GGS.? I have a question regarding the VHF repeater.? A few days ago, I noticed the automated call sign broadcasts that I was receiving were coming in at lower power and very scratchy audio.? I am fairly new to ham radio, but over the last few months, I have always had a very strong and clear signal from this repeater.? I'm getting good clear signals from the other VHF repeaters in the area (McKinney, Richardson, and Garland).? I was on the PARK casual net last night and again, low received power and scratchy audio.? Larry, K5IMO was on the call thru AllStar and he usually came in pretty clear.? PARK UHF repeater seems to be working well.? Not aware of anything that has changed in my local environment.? I am operating from my home base station (ICOM 2730) with a fixed VHF/UHF antenna (Diamond X-50).? ?So just thought I would touch bases with you.? Maybe just coincidence, but this seemed to happen about the time it started to get really hot (102+ temps). Thanks for any insight you may have.
