Curious, as I haven't seen anything like that except for a couple telescoping masts Tony had.
They might reduce the need for the stackable multi-section military masts we have used for the past few years, except for 80m which needs the really high mast.

These are light-weight poles held extended by compression and duct-tape. ?I wouldn¡¯t trust them with more weight than maybe the center of a dipole, holding up a vertical wire, or a lightweight vhf/UHF antenna.? Re: NWS

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

It was not humor. I apologize if it came across that way, as it was not my intent.

I see nothing humorous about what is happening.
It was sincere concern that I had not heard form the NWS,? in months.
Each day brings news of another federal department that faithfully serve everyday Americans being decimated.
The shutting down message is a fact of life right now.

The e-mail I received form the NWS clearly indicates they are also concerned about being here next month.

Nothing about what is being done to America is humorous, or positive, in any way, to me.

If it came across as humor, it may have been because I was trying to overcompensate to not feel shut down and decimated myself by what I see going on. As this is not the place, I'll keep my personal worries and how this is affecting my family, to myself.

I received confirmation of their concern about still being here as well,

Happy New Year.

We're looking forward to confirming our speakers for the new year and have the NWS scheduled, tentatively, for March 17th, at 7p in Plano TX.

We have a video screen we leverage for our own slide presentation for the business part of the meeting.
Your presenter can either just bring a powerpoint on a USB stick that we load up on the laptop already connected, or they can bring anything that has a HDMI output to the TV we use in the space.

With BJ's lists, Rob's ideas, and Lonnie's design skills, I think this

Re: NWS presentation for Plano Amateur Radio Klub

¿ªÔÆÌåÓý

Last night I noted that I had not heard form the NWS in several months and was concerned that, with the employee firings throughout the federal departments, the NWS may have already been affected, specifically as it is one of Project 2025's goals to break up NOAA, and get rid of the NWS.

I received confirmation of their concern about still being here as well,
but yet still continued commitment to serve, barring being shut down before then.

So February is still the NWS, but I'll have a backup in my pocket if the NWS gets cancelled and sent home, like the 3,400 Forestry Service workers.
