General Meeting Slide Deck Input

I still need everyone’s input to the meeting slide deck, please.

Only one (readable by the audience) page would be good, but if you need more than one page of important stuff, so be it.

Thanks,

Is it possible to put together a generic 4-page newsletter that we can have available at the meeting, and also use as possible mailer, per Tim's idea, for new hams as part of a "welcome to hamming" kit?

The reason I say 4-page is because that is a single 11x17 sheet folded in half. Much like my interim newsletter for January.

It can talk about regular meetings in general, and highlight some regulars - Field Day planning, Annual club auction, Plano balloon festival, annual holiday party, as well as programs on antennas, new radio releases, and other areas of interest to anyone with curiosity about the world around them.

It can also include more information about our regular activities, the 2- meter net, Skywarn net, foxhunting, hospital net, involvement with Meals on Wheels, Dallas Marathon, Turkey Trot, and a few more.

A general introduction letter from the president, a generalized meeting minutes not really too time specific, A few photos from meetings, as well as regular meeting information, General amateur radio info, and a list of some monthly contests ad operating events.

Ham class info, if any is available, and a note about pre-meeting testing before our meetings. to be licensed.

Basically an activity sheet that one would be interested in holding on to for the nets schedule, and a years' worth of contests.

Basically it's an Ad for ham radio, the club, and our meetings. With a little bit of date-specific information: future contests for 2025, and PARK meeting dates.

These could also be sent to local high school science teachers, libraries, etc.

Re: [K5PRK] PARK Generic Newsletter for marketing.

It's actually one of the reasons the temp newsletter I made was only 4 pages. Easy to print out and have available at meetings for any newbies to have in the their hand as a giveaway.

Does the club have business cards?
I'm just sorting through a drawer full of cards I've collected through the years and found that I have a few from Lake Area.

They'd be handy to give to new members, slip into windshield wipers of cars we see, hand out during a conversation.

This is what I'm talking about.? ?

The postcard with information about PARK and an invitation to come to our meetings, that went out early last year, was based on a list of licensees in adjacent zip codes, obtained from the ARRL.
?
I would imagine the only new names on that list now, would be new licensees.? Instead of sending out a big blast again, perhaps we can start reviewing for and targeting new licensees.? Let’s discuss this and other outreach ideas at the next Board meeting, with our PR Director taking the lead.

Unfortunately it sounds like they are closed to thoughts about how to accomplish it so we will have to look at connectivity from elsewhere. It's possible we can grab connectivity off the wireless network and fall back to the DSL circuit if it has issues but I need to get an answer back from MCP first, hopefully in the next couple weeks.
