Locked Thanks!
Thanks for being a K4A operator during the HS4A world amateur radio days event. The event exceeded my expectations with over 50,000 QSOs from all of the special event stations and more than 10,000 from K4A. Wow. Those are big numbers. Most importantly, my social media team says that the HS4A message was translated into many languages and made an impact. In just two weeks there were 15 thousand look ups on qrz.com for K4A alone. Great job everyone and thank you! https://www.itu.int/hub/2023/04/amateur-radio-sustains-communications-and-boosts-human-security/

Today is the official world amateur radio day. K4A is over 7500 Q on its way to 10,000! Global interest appears to be increasing as the word gets out. The Eastern European hams certainly understand the concept of humansecurity and are very supportive. I saw a Spot from a Polish ham that said human security for all in the comments. Interestingly, we are working a lot of Russians as well. Thanks again for all the great help! My xyl K0ZV will be running FT4 on 20 m while I’m IN Dallas so avoid that band/mode. it’s OK to run FT8 on 20 while she’s running Ft4.

MSHV DXpedition mode 5
FYI… I've witnessed the program failing to log a few contacts although difficult to pin down the sequence of events causing the error. I believe one element is the contact continuing to send a report after MSHV sends RR73. When I notice this log omission, I enter the QSO manually. Several folks have griped that FT8WW doesn’t have them in the log even though they got RR73. This error could be one reason. 73, John K1JD

KW7Q operation of K4A
Just a quick update. I hope to be putting K4A on cw soon. I have what I need to reconfigure MacLoggerDX for K4A so I hope to be on the cw bands later this weekend. Had to get a new password for my logging software. Just to confirm I will be disabling the uploading of contacts to LOTW? After my final K4A operation I will create a .ADIF file and make that available? Thanks, Steve KW7Q
