Hello Mark, Thanks for sharing this. For a number of years, we have had our own K3Y/3 groups.io pages including the group email address for communications, and a ‘K3Y/3 operator schedule' in the database section. That’s where we look to see what times are open. That’s where operators go to make requests. I think most of us only go to the master calendar/schedule to post (and double check) the results of our scheduling. Hello… Sometimes it can seem hard to get a dit in edgewise… as in a pileup… or on the K3Y schedule. (Before I continue, please know that this is an invitation and not a guilt trip!!! There is no amount of time that you should operate as K3Y/3. What works for you is good.) This morning I looked over our K3Y-3 schedule for today and saw mixed news. It was good to see that we have a K3Y/3 operator scheduled every hour from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thanks to our crew of faithful operators! And then I wondered if this wasn’t really good news for any of you who might be having trouble getting on the schedule—getting a “dit” in edgewise, so to speak. Again, I don’t want to make anyone feel guilty! My point is simply to remind you that you are welcome to ask for some time to get on the schedule when it looks full. Many times I see and hear operators offer to share their scheduled time(s) with someone wants to get on the air. That’s not a problem! So... if you if you would like to get on the air as K3Y/3 but it hasn’t been working out for you… before the month is over, give it a go!
