------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I was contacted to supply 10 radio operators for the
Schenectady Holiday Parade on Saturday November 23 from 1300 - 1730. We have
been asked to support operations in the SCCC parking lot. We will be working
along side the Schenectady Auxiliary police. We will assist in staging and
ensuring the flow of traffic thru the lot . Security is tighter this year than
it was last year. Persons dropping off parade participants will not be allowed
to loitering and must clear the lot after drop off.
As in the past, will also act as additional "eyes and ears". See something, say something. After the parade has started and all participants are clear of SCCC, we can secure unless asked to stay. PD will be using e-bikes and mounted patrol (horses) to monitor spacing within the parade.? Coms will be SIMPLEX, primary 146.435, secondary 146.520. W2IR, 146.790(-) pl 110.9 for EMERGENCY. Ensure your portable are programed and you have sufficient batteries.?? Be prepared with a dependable flashlight, approiate clothing and any other essentials you need.
