I had a thought - If everyone could update their slots with the frequency, once established, it would make it easier for the next shift to find you - especially on the bands where the possibility of hearing some else in VA would be almost impossible! ?And easier to spot you on QRZ

I picked up K2B on 40 phone from John at 10 am and ran pretty steadily until noon. Spotted myself twice. Made 312 contacts (one is a duplicate), for a rate of 156 an hour.

Yes, there could be 100 Canadian logs all with “K2B?? 59?? No 001” for example.

Unless we submit a log for K2B, that should not trigger anything in their matching program, no?

And for SSB, it’s easy, we ask them to log our personal call, and keep a serial list.

I hope to spend more time monitoring. and spotting, this year.
Last year, I had tons of slots I had to fill.
If you don't fill in the slot, I would probably get on air...

I've been doing something similar to Rick's approach for several years.? I have one database (KE4S.s3db) for my callsign, and I've created specialized databases for specific contests such as this when operating from a "different" station or a specialized effort such as the CWT (cwt.s3db).? Easy to switch between databases, since each has the capability of multiple contest logs.? Once an individual effort is complete, I then transfer an adif export of my callsign log into DXKeeper for permanent record.? The K2B-2023 DXcontest log will get a separate archive, since it is not associated to my LOTW account.

I create a new DX “contest” each year. The nice thing about the different database is that I don’t need to remember the individual settings needed to change my station from N1RM to K2B.?

In the File Menu, I went to “New database…” and called it K2B.

I then entered the station info for my K2B operation.

I then used Open New Log In Database… to create a DX Log for that year.

As I said, probably not necessary but it helps me keep things organized.
