Somebody has to start

Let's see how this goes.

I'm anxious to see, too, how successful this will be.? It would be great to get our group off FB, though!

I HAVE the Yahoo groups membership in CSV format with emails Etc.? Tried to let Max know on the old group but sent the message a hour after the old group shut down.? Then guessed at his email but my guess got rejected.? I am feeling not loved - just kidding.?
Hope this message will be seen by Max.? If you want the CSV list let me know.? Just beware some of the old group members signed up with "no email" setting? (indicated in the CSV file)?

Also, in case some of you have not heard, I am looking for a new owner for K1000.net website - someone to host it and keep it alive. Paypal donations have paid for domain and hosting so far.? ? No hurry as long as I am alive - so far so good!? ?Interested?? ?reply or contact me direct.

While we're talking about useful things Dennis has done, I'd like to get the conversation started about upgrading Kurlewin to a full editor. I know this involves someone with coding skills and some work hours to get it done, and that's way out of my wheelhouse. (I could probably program something in TRSDOS basic, but my Fortran skills faded long ago) However, I want to be involved in that process, as I want to make sure it's blind accessible, something I know a lot about. (being completely blind an all) I also have a lot of experience with the different machines, as unless something has changed I have the most of these units. (4 each of the Pro1, Pro2, and GX, plus a K1000SE MKII Extended -- pretty much the same thing as a K76 after the upgrade) I'm thinking the best option is to find someone or a small team to work together, hopefully on both the website and Kurlewin. If it comes down to it I've got a provider that's giving me unlimited space, bandwidth, email addresses, and domain registrations, so it'd be $15/year.
The reason I'm thinking of a team is because these are projects with a bit of size to them, and portioning things off means nobody has to do all the heavy lifting. I've done *some* project management, though it's been a long while, but I can probably brush off the dust and figure out how to manage a team. But I have to have folks who can code.
Why am I interested in having a computer editor that can get stuff on consistent pages? It's faster, you can use accelerators to jump from area to area and page to page, and with the ability to copy a layer and paste it on another one, then make fine edits in all four layers, along with two controllers working in tandem, you can do vector synthesis on 1000/1200 instruments. (as made famous by the Sequential Prophet VS and Korg R&D Wavestation models) But the 1000 series has far more interesting synthesis functions, so the sounds can go in super-interesting ways.
Anyone interested?

I have no programming skills what so ever, but I am all for upgrading Kurlewin to be something useful.? As it stands, I can't use it, and I'd like to.? Just my 2 cents worth, here.
