WA0EMX New QTH, etc.

Greetings everyone:
? ? ?Since moving from Raytown to Grain Valley just over a year ago, I can can no longer hit our K0GQ, W0SHQ nor most other KC metro repeaters with my HT, even @5W. I really do miss our former Raytown high spot near Blue Ridge & Sterling, only a mile or so from the water tower K0GQ/R location as the birds fly.
? ? Putting my 50 foot tower back up is somewhat? problematic since the local city ordinances have apparently turned Grain Valley into it's own version of an HOA which I thought we had successfully avoided. Live & Learn.
? ? Our lot is downsized from 1 acre to 1/3 acre with a back yard 5.5 foot tall privacy fence so a loop around the the fence may be possible. Might be able sneak in a tall mast for inverted Vs.
? ? Sorry to have missed the 40/20m antenna clinic. That must have been great fun (for the comraderie as much as for the antennas constructed). The portable satellite up & downlink antenna building party went well some years ago and was fantastic.! Such great fun during the event And afterwards, too!
? ? ?Recovering from several surgical procedures is slowing me down more than I like or anticipated but I'm still counting my blessings. Sorry to miss seeing you all at club meetings and other events. Feels rather isolated sometimes but we are closer to a daughter's family and two other granddaughter's as well.?
? ? ?Many Blessings to you all. God is good. 73...? Doug

Hello Doug- ?Good to hear from you, and glad that you’re recovery is going well. Yes, we had a good antenna build night this last Thursday and everyone came away with a very nice 20/40m dipole for home or portable.

Hopefully you can get an antenna figured out for your new QTH and get back on the air! When that happens let us know and give us a shout on the repeater, especially on Sunday nights at 8 pm for the weekly club net.? Maybe in the meantime, you can join via EchoLink!
