This is a follow-up to my email on soldering.? With our build project coming up I thought some bench basics might be useful.?
These videos cover electrostatic discharge or ¡°How to kill your transceiver without really trying¡±.? ESD (electrostatic discharge) can take the newest most expensive gear off the ¡®air in a flash¡¡¯ ?Chicken fried radio components are no fun indeed. Especially when you do it to your brand new radio you just opened up to install that brand new cw filter or similar add on accessory.?
Anyway here are some introductory tips before you open up your radio. Not directly ?featuring ham radio the elements are the same.?
