Roof insulation

 

Hi Bernd, is it a good idea to use one layer of divinicell 60g/m2 sandwiched on the cabin roof to obtain some kind of insulation?

Here in the tropics the sun can warm a lot inside the boat.

You could also look for aerogel. It is got impressive insulation qualities. But it is also very expensive. You do not need a thick layer for insulation. It is available in blanket form. Other boaters use it to insulate their fridges and freezers. It has about 7 times the insulation properties of pir foam. Just a thought.
