Hi Eckart,
I would love to build a KD105 myself. What a beautiful design !! Simplicity meets functionality. I`m jealous !
About 6 month ago i saw it first and fell in love.
I did quite a research about others who might have build that design or sailing it, but not much came up. There has been some who have started building,
but either the projects never came to a finish or they are just happy sailing somewhere.???
But be honest would you not be happy and proud if you would have finished a project like that ? I mean I would be so proud i would love to share pictures of it.
Even if it is just to make others jealous, lol.
I`ve asked the designer bernd about other projects, but he has no contact with builders of this design anymore, he said.
It`s a shame because i think a few pictures or even a video of a proper build KD105, in a beautiful bay or sailing fast, would sell this design like hot cake.

I think you should anyway contact this forum when building. There are lots of people with sound knowledge about building a K-Design, on this forum, and for sure bernd will help wherever he can. And who knows i might be starting one myself. I just have to make up my mind about the differences with other designs such as
DUO1000, KD1000. and how they compare to the KD105, for the intention of my use. See my thread (topic) earlier on this forum "differences of 10mtr. cats"

I would like to ask you a few questions why exactly you choose this design and how you are intent to use it ?
?would you live on it for longer periods or just weekend cruising ? amount of? people ? What kind of rig/sails.?
Just out of interest, and maybe it can help me making up my mind.
I thank you and wish you all the best for your project. And I hope you will send updates and maybe some pics of your build, so that others can get an idea of the beauty of this design. And for the sake of the designer, even buy the plans.!

Good luck. regards Jan Hugelmann.
