Microphone question

Anybody know what mike is being used in this video and if it is good for singing or designed mostly for speech?

Brad

I'd have to be Al Schmitt to answer that question. I thought maybe
we'd get a look at the mic and could make a guess. There are many
things that can influence the sound. [very nice] Looked Iike he was
playing a De Angelico NYr redoo, that has to contribute something.
Some times cameras have a compression algorithm as part of the input
signal plath, amp plays a huge role as well. Variables like crazy. I
liked the lick tho. Why not email the guy and ask what his signal
path was. Hell, it could have been direct into the camera for all we
know. If so that would be the camera to get if you are into making vids.

Hi Ron, There is a headset mic in the video that is mic'ing his voice. I
don't know the model of it, however.
I am assuming that is the mic in question. Not what is picking up the
guitar.

Yes, that is the mic in question. I guess it would be hard to ID it exactly, so I guess what I'm looking for are recommendations for similar mics with enough quality for singing and not just things like business presentations.

Yeah, amazing isn't it that a member of a jazz guitar list would watch the guitar and guitarist's hands and not notice the vocal mike <G>?

Nice riff, though.
