First question: Have you tried gypsy jazz on your town's audiences? How
did they like it?
My audiences like it very much, as long as I mix it up with some more
contemporary tunes done in that style, and also some flashy show-off stuff,
like Tico Tico. A mix of an acoustic guitar (piezo pickup or mic) and
electric guitar with upright bass is my usual group, and I can add violin,
clarinet, or trumpet, depending on what the client wants and who's
available. If you need charts, ideas or a starting point, I recomment the
Pearl Django books (djangobooks.com) highly.
