I also think that's what Sam was talking about, Steve. That's why I recommended the CD "Jim Hall & Pat Metheny". They're both palaying rythum changes but without any other rythum instruments. Flip

Check out a CD called "Jim Hall and Pat Matheny" . Some nice playing, some experimental things might have you scratching your head. Worth a listen.
