I have an old studio photograph of Annetta L. JAMIESON which was taken when she was 9 years and 15 days old sometime in the early 1900's. The photograph is identified as a gift "For Grand-maw". There is no studio or location identified. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Annetta and her family: Annetta L. JAMIESON was b. 22 Apr 1911 in Ghent, KY to parents James D. JAMIESON (1887-1954) and Elsie BOLDEN (1891-1939) who were married 1 Jan 1908 in Carroll County, KY. Annetta appears to be the only child born to this couple. Annetta married Oren VAN TYLE (1903-1991) on 11 Sept 1929 in Switzerland County, IN and they had a daughter, Carolyn Dean VAN TYLE b. 1938. Annetta died 20 Feb 2001 in Rising Sun, IN and is buried in the Vevay Cemetery in Vevay, IN. I am hoping to locate someone from Annetta’s family so that this photograph can be returned to their care. Andrew, Hugh and Robert Jamieson

I am researching the family of my great-grandfather, Robert Jamieson of Newmilns, Ayrshire, 1834-1887, who died in Belfast. We go back to Jamie's two sons granted the lease of two farms in Ayrshire in 1527. His brother,Andrew, sent a potted family history to his cousin, Hugh, in Poynette, Wisconsin, in the 1880s. I am also researching the said Hugh. Any connections would be welcome.

Saying Thanks To Our Front-Line Workers
First of all, To all of you who are involved in the "front lines" of this corona virus war - Thank You for all you are doing. Without you we would be in dire straits. Secondly, Diane and I thought it would be a good thing to share what is happening in your locations as far as showing appreciation to everyone involved in fighting the spread of this horrendous pandemic that has plagued the world. Please feel free to share what your community is doing in that regard. We have all seen the firefighters gathered to applaud the health workers. Diane says that she and her neighbors stand outside their doors and clap for the health workers. She suggests singing (to the tune of "Happy Birthday") the following: Thank you very much, Thank you very much, Thank you front line workers, Thank you very much. What ideas do you have? This is an exciting time with a very impressive website and the opportunity to rekindle our communications and, perhaps, revive research that has been set aside for a time.
