You can try

They might have the part or info you need. Also in the Database and Links section there are several dealers that have some parts for these old tractors.

But if someone can give to info on the spring itself, you might be able to buy 1 from a industrial hardware store

Also I uploaded the parts manual for the 42 inch Homelite mowing deck, might be the same

/g/JacobsenFordGardenTractors/files/Homelite%2042%20inch%20Rotary%20Mower%20UT%2036037%20Parts%20Manual/Homelite%2042%20inch%20Rotary%20Mower%20UT%2036037%20Parts%20Manual.pdf?

The original Jacobsen idler pulley part number was 154796, and the spring was 352120. Those were for a 42 inch deck #59834. I have the original manuals for the Hydro GT 12 and 14.?

Bob, like most Jac wear parts, these have been unobtainum for many years. ?The original design was not good as the spring rubbed on the deck until it wore through. ?I will forward an email I posted in 2010 about a work-around improvement I made while restoring a 42” deck.? I do have an NOS spring, but I overpaid for it; this solution would be cheaper.

Steve,

?

Thanks and I think it is the same cutting deck. Did not know, Textron, a major defense contractor was involved in cutting decks!

Ken,

If you post a picture of the spring and indicate all specs, wire diameter, # of coils, ends, overall length, etc, the spring may be obtainable from a place that sells springs.

I did not see details about the spring, only a note that said you had an NOS spring.
