I took the old regulator, the 6 terminals were corroded and dirty. Took a fingernail emery board and cleaned/polished them up until they shined. Put the old regulator back into the tractor, started it

You might also try gluing a strip of 240 or 320 sandpaper to a strip of veneer. Also, with the covers off both regulators check and see if they look like they have the same wiring configuration.?

Virtually all of the 6 contacts were very corroded on the old regulator. I might be able to use a fingernail file with the sandpaper surface to clean up the terminals. Thanks for the

I suggest that you carefully sand the contacts on the old regulator and put it back. With cleaned contacts it may work properly.
