Re: Link to Free LGT 165 in Waterford, Michigan - Marked pending for me

I just contacted the lister and noted below (basically I can come get if he's OK with me disassembling and hauling in two or three trips).

I also have another Peerless 2500 transaxle and the Eaton pump... supposed to be good and looks great though doesn't have all the fittings and parts like linkages.

I've been wanting one of these Jacobsen designs.? That and the rest of the parts for the IH CC 107 and I'll be good on all my missions for garden tractors, though locally I think I still have the IH related CC parts somewhere I can go get when I want them. Those Jacobsens have been a trip... four up in Alpena and everytime I was about to go get or arrange like the last time for someone to truck down... sold like the day I contacted them seemed if I remember right. There was a Homelite I think in Three Rivers that I wasn't able to get to and seems the rest I've found are way outside my $50 limit... that somewhat can budge.? Though, man the free ones sure are nice.?

Anyways, here's what I wrote:

Saw Randy's post on the Ford Jacobson LGT groups.io forum and he noted someone else can come get and I'll treat it with respect. Thing is, I'd rather come disassemble in two or three trips versus drive over with my long bed pickup since would still be less in gas and wear and tear since I'm on the west side of the state. Though if you're OK with me taking apart to haul... I'd get no problem and love to restore. I actually recently hauled a later model Ford LGT that's the Gilson design with the oppie Kohler Series 2. That was three trips... though I did make a first trip just to work on since I wanted to only load the other trips for the most part and I had a load full already. You can see that in my posts. I've actually hauled a John Deere 240 from over by South Lyons, a Cub Cadet 2185 from Ionia and a White GT185 from Cadillac... where the Cub Cadet like the Ford LGT I did in three trips since those weren't missing anything. I also hauled the like the JD 240 and IH CC 107 minus the engine and additionally minus the front axle assembly... though that was in Allegan. Just let me know if that's OK and I'll plan accordingly since I'm on a pension and then we can coordinate timing and all. Thanks in advance for your time. Kind Regards, In Christ.

I'll get it if no one else wants it (I don't need another tractor but don't want to see it go to a scrapper - as his ad says he's open to). Probably pick it up Wednesday or Thursday.

If someone contacts him from this forum just let him know you saw my post (Randy's post) on here (told him I was posting it) and you'll treat it with respect.

Joe: thank you for sending the Ford information along. Greatly appreciate it.

I have one question. Not being expert in these tractors, I have one electrical problem at present. My charging light on the dashboard is lit when I am using the tractor. I put in a new voltage regulator and I am wondering if I reversed the terminals on the connection between the regulator and the continuation of the wires back to the battery. There is 6 wires coming out of the regulator and they connect to a 6 wire plug. I could have reversed the 2 plugs. Does this seem like it would result in the light staying on while running? Kinda sounds like it could.

thanks again, hope you can answer my question about the light staying on.
