If this is your first time at??at?,?here are some guidelines on how we run the show?
- This is a BLUES jam, hosted and attended by folks who LOVE listening to and performing blues. If you are a jammer interested in performing music that's mainly outside of the blues realm, our jam might not be the right fit for you.?
- The host band plays an opening set of 3-4 songs starting at 7:30pm. We then open up the stage to jammers for the next 75 minutes (approximately).
- A featured artist takes the stage at 9:15pm for 30-45 minutes (backed up by the house band or top jammers of his or her choosing). After this featured set, the jam resumes until the end of the night (11pm). Featured artists are selected by invitation ONLY from a pool of national and international-calibre blues performers.
- If you are a first time jammer, please introduce yourself to some of the host band members in addition to putting your name down on the jam sign-up sheet.
- Although we try our best to get jammers up to play in a reasonable amount of time, sometimes this is simply not possible. Ours is a VERY well attended jam and we try to maintain a high calibre of musicianship throughout the night. As such, we don¡¯t follow a first-come-first-serve system, so please be patient.
- Please do not bring amps or a backline - just bring your axe! We provide high quality guitar amps, harmonica amp, bass amp, drum kit and a keyboard.
Thank you!
