Pioneer:Sexauer: Volleyball pits and a dog park. I know for a fact half of the campgrounds are booked that weekend so, again, it’s a gamble.
Just a picture of our field so you know what we’re working with. It’s the one with the lights:
Personally I’m a fan of the tailgate or Sully’s. We already have events at Sully’s for rugby, so they would appreciate the traffick.

You’d need to reserve Sexauer Park for the social. Take a look at the policy the parks department has set up for alcohol. Also, I’m not making that reservation to keep my college club’s name out of it.

I’ll go and grab a picture or two of Sexauer before our officer meeting today so you can see what you think.
You guys are certainly our "greatest generation" so to speak, and you're providing the social, so of course we'll defer to you. I don't suspect I'll wanna play more than a few minutes once I'm *ahem* your age (sorry couldn't resist).?
On the other hand, there's definitely gonna be a full rugby match played on September 10. I'm not flying half away across the world just to get day-drunk in a park. We're gonna have about 15 "old boys" in there 30s and 40s who are still actively playing, and
of course the current Jacks boys need to get a run out. They've planned their season around us, and it's gonna be early in the year so it will be a good chance for their new guys to see what the game is about. We're getting together because we're SDSU Rugby,
so on Saturday we're gonna go to SDSU and play some fuckin rugby! And the pretty girls are gonna walk past our match and say "Damn those guys are hot". Hell yeah, I'm pumped.?
My personal preference is also Sexauer, but I'm trying to be a team player and give everyone a say. It was the least preferred option from my survey (only 13% selected it), but it seems to suit our desires the best. We can bring our own booze and get a little
rowdy. Hopefully the cops don't show up. I can't stress enough that I don't want to cause any troubles for the current team. The only thing is, as I mentioned originally, I don't know if Sexauer is even open. Somebody in Brookings needs to go get some eyes
on it and see exactly what these "renovations" entail. I guess if we're just going to a park for a social we always have Pioneer Park as a back up.?
So, what I'm hearing is we definitely want the social at the park. No tailgating space, and no heading to Sully's directly after the match. Agreed??
me too. Just want to see some of the old boys and chill.

Amen on the playing time Stu. I’m coming for the party.
~tel~
First off, realistically we will play for about an hour. I plan on playing five minutes if that. So us playing until 2pm is not going to happen, more like Noon.??
With no glass at the tailgating that is out and we will set up at Sexauer for the cook out if that is where Tate feels comfortable. I do like the option of going to Sully's for after the game but don't know how receptive they would be to outside
alcohol being brought in. So, again Sexauer will be the spot. Honestly could give two shits less about actually playing, as I can hardly run anymore let alone play. The important part is the get together afterwards. Brookings is not that big, so having the
game and party at two separate locations should not be a challenge. We just need to figure this shit out now so that Heath and Tate, providing the food and booze, know where they will be setting up and what we will need to provide them as far as power and
water. Sounds like we will need a generator if we use the tailgating spot anyways, so might as well get one lined up now. I am hoping that one of the old boys back there will have one we can use instead of renting one.?
Tate and Heath: let us know what you will need for power, so we can get a properly sized generator. May not have an option for water except a five gallon igloo full. Also, will you need a set up table and shit like that or do you travel with
your own stuff?
I do want to support Sully's, so maybe we do Friday night and meet at the outdoor patio and see how it goes. We can also do a couple hours there Saturday before the footy game, depends on how much booze Rodney brings.?
to sum it all up:
Friday night meet at Sully's around 6-7ish, and go from there. If you can't find us, send someone down to Ray's corner to get us.
Play on campus-booze to be hidden if you need to drink.
Party at Sexauer unitl we drink our fill or time is up and we need to go to the game.
After the party you all can figure out shit to do on your own.
That's all I have for now
Cheers,
Stu

Just wanted to run this past you core members to see if anyone has any last suggestions or questions and make sure we're all on the same page.?
Our current plan:?
Meet at the intramural field at 10:00. Kick off at 11:00. Play until 14:00. After the game, we walk over to the tailgating space (it's a short five minute walk), where we will have the social from 14:00 - 18:00. After that, some people want to go watch the
football game, the rest of us will head downtown. There will probably also be a rugby house party that night.
Q: Can we drink pitch side at the intramural field (10:00 - 14:00)??
A: Officially no. Realistically, if we are discrete, using koozies and opaque bottles, we may have a few sips. However, we really don't wanna cause any trouble for the current team. We're all experienced old alcoholics at this point. I assume we know how to
drink discreetly without getting in trouble. Or we can just suck it up and wait until 14:00 and not drink during the match.?
Q: Why aren't we playing somewhere we can drink openly on the pitch??
A: Sexauer Park is under renovations and the Pioneer Park field didn't look good. Additionally, since this is an SDSU rugby event, open alcohol consumption would technically be prohibited at any event even off campus.?
Q: What's the deal at the tailgating space (14:00 - 18:00)??
A: No electricity but can use a generator. Gene Nelson has an entrance pass for his truck and will use it to help us carry food and supplies right to our designated space. Cans only, no glass bottles.?
Please let me know if you have any more questions or suggestions. We do still have options:
* Tate mentioned he'd like to go to Sexauer Park after the match. Sexauer is a bit of a hike from the field where we'll play so we would all need to drive over there. I haven't personally seen how torn up the park is, so I can't vouch for?whether or not Sexauer
is even good for?a cook out right now.
* When surveyed, 53% of people said they'd like to have the social at Sully's Irish pub. They have a nice back patio where we could drive right up and have electricity?for the food. We could probably get rowdier there than at the tailgating space.?
Unfortunately, we don't have much wiggle room on where we play the match, but we do still have time to?change where we have the social. Gene was really generous letting us use his tailgating space but I'm sure he'd understand if we changed to somewhere things
could get a little more R rated. For now, we plan on the social at tailgating field, but I await your input before making the final call.?
