Help on display please
Hi I am a bit late to the party but got stuck far from home because of covid. And was unable to complete my build till now. So to my problem I have the 7" display number? ER-TFTM070-5 it has two pin connectors as per manual but it only has 8 pins on one and 10 pins on the other so the build manual shows 10 pins on both ??
Also the Figure 2-23 wiring is not clear ? I cannot see the designation of th?e pins , if i have that i could probably work out the wiring. Any help would be appreciated Thanks. Regards Barry G1LHL? |
Barry: I'm not sure about the 7" display and BuyDisplay.com has about 6 units that fall under that part number. I would suggest that you go to their site, find your exact display, and download the data sheet for that display. (They are very good about supplying the documentation for their displays.) Also check out Figure 2-25. Jack, W8TEE

Hi thanks I have the datasheet for the display but I could not make out the figure on 2.25 .as to. What data lines got to the pins on the ribbon cable. I will have to try and print it bigger. But the data is very blurred and old age and cateracs are not helping.! Thanks Jack I will do some panel bashing to take my frustration out of then have another go!! Can you post a picture of the back of the display as it is possible to order those displays with several different interface configurations, looking at the datasheet for this model the 40 pin header should be there in some shape or form, the 10 pin header is for keyboard and 8 pin for SD card usually. You also need to check the jumper settings are correct for a 4 wire serial interface. Br Peter. On Wed, 29 Dec 2021 at 11:03, jjpurdum via <jjpurdum=[email protected]> wrote:

We don't have pictures of the 7" display hookup. Check out the display protection file on the JackAl site: Jack, W8TEE
