Lightweight Low back support ideas while backpacking

If more of a single-point massage would help, I highly recommend this cork massage ball:?

I take it on every backpacking trip and use it to roll out my legs and feet, particularly to avoid tight achilles and plantar fasciitis.?

Can't really help with back support, but I use my Bear Vault 500 as a stool to sit on when there's no good rocks or tree trunks around.

Ideally, the therma-rest=trekker is what I'd like to use but I'm worried about puncturing my sleeping pad and then I'd be sorry!? :? )? Plus I only use a 3/4 length therma-rest since I'm short!? :? )

Perfect idea Julie.? We are taking a bear canister on our next hike - Teton Crest trail so maybe I won't need a back rest perse for this trip.??

Have you tried your bearikade or bearvault in a horizontal position with your upright backpack? in front of it and leaning against the cushy side of your backpack? Hope it helps. Julie

Hi, I was wondering if any of you have found any lightweight options to provide low back support? at camp while backpacking?? Lately, I've found that I really need to sit with my back against a downed log or rock while sitting on the ground at camp.? I've been scouring the internet looking for products.? I don't really want a chair- like option but if it supports the low back and is light it might be an option.? I'd like something like the new Eagle Creek Hex 2.0 but it's over 1.5 lb and as we all know we look for less weight especially as we get older.

Thanks in advance for your ideas.

Great idea... looks like the cork ball is the same idea as the tennis balls that I use for my back.
