Late season impressions Rae Lakes Loop

 

Hi All,

?

A few month ago I received some welcomed encouragement by this group to head out for a late session Rae Lakes Loop.?

So I entered via Kearsage Pass and had a great time, almost solo due to the fact that roads over in SeKi were still closed.?

Plenty of bear sightings and captured some great time lapses.
Let me share a short video with these late season impressions with you. I'll try to go out agin this year in October, it's a great time.

Beautiful trip, thanks for sharing. I've often wondered about conditions in October (assuming little snow pack). Looks perfect.

Rick, your video is incredible! It seems like you were hiking extremely UL though even that late in the season. Can you give us a general idea of what you were carrying?

Let me attach my winter gear list with the note that I have some gear where I don’t know the weight, so it should be a bit more thann the sheet is showing.
