Late Season Conditions

Jeff Hargreaves & Meg Levine All Messages By This Member #74953 We have a permit for Onion Valley to Whitney Portal starting 9/27, exiting 10/2. I'm very familiar with the route but not this late in the season. Any thoughts on temperatures and additional equipment we might need (re microspike)? John Girot All Messages By This Member #74959 开云体育 I doubt you’ll need microspikes but I would bring a sleep system that can handle temps in the teens, maybe some down booties in lieu of microspikes. Hopefully the smoke clears by then.
