Happy Holidays

ndeewoods

Happy Holidays folks. Hope Santa brought you all
those hiking goodies you wanted to keep you drooling
thru the winter til you can hike again. I downloaded
some of the Sierra Club outing trips and am browsing
my maps once again. Never have done the grand canyon
of the Tuolumne....anybody done any trips thru it or
from Tuolumne to Hetchy Hetchy???<br>Dee

The Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne is a great trip,
highly recommended. East to west is preferred but not a
definite.I have done it twice and enjoyed it much more in
low water conditions. You could access more swimming
and fishing holes, the river had more variety(colors,
access, flow) and yet you still have the big waterfalls
and currents in the respective spots. Enjoy!

I was going to do that trip 10 years ago but went
over Red Peak Pass instead. Still wanting to do it.
Perhaps now that I have been remined I should put it on
my do before I leave list. Do you have any pictures
that you could post??

Howard, i will look for photos. Red Peak Pass is a favorite area of mine, The plateaus below the pass and the high grassy lake basins below Isberg Pass are sublime and seldom visited.
