Ditto on 60 Lakes Basin, a wonderful, uncrowded area.
But it does take some extra time to get in there.? I met
a packer on the way going in near Fin Dome and no one
else for 2 days.

Dragon Lake is a short slog up from upper Rae Lake.
Good fishing, but I don't remember what the availability
of campsites was.? The few visitors seem to just dayhike
in.

When I did the JMT in 2020, we took a zero day pretty deep into Sixty Lakes Basin. Tons of options back there. We even saw some Bighorn sheep. Other options include Dragon Lake and less off the beaten path, Charlotte Lake. Happy trails!

Hi friends!
I am planning a short 5 day trip into Rae Lakes basin from Kearsarge pass and was wondering what the latest conditions were on Glen Pass?
also, was wondering if there’s any sweet camping spots in the Rae Lakes area off the beaten path..
Thank you!!
Kathy
