What a free agency period and the bidding on the ties were just as crazy. The first round of the draft should be quick since 8 of the 12 teams sacrificed their?1st round pick.
FIRST the vote on season length
In a very close vote 6/5 we will be going to 111 games (72% to make the schedule balance).
The Sparktown Homies sign Rico Carty 3yr(2nd), Mack Jones 3yr(3rd), and Mike McCormick 2yr(8th)
Kville adds Steve Carlton 5yr(1st), Rico Petrocelli 5 yr(3rd), and Bill Freehan 5yr(6th).
Pittsburgh gets some power Dick Allen 5yr(1st) and Frank Howard 5yr(2nd).
Dallas gets Tony Oliva 5yr(1st).
Ann Arbor went for offense Pete Rose 5yr(1st), Billy Williams 5yr(2nd), and Harmon Killebrew 5yr(4th).
Hazard signed Willie McCovey 5 yr(2nd) and Gaylord Perry 5yr(1st).
Flying landed Ron Santo 5yr(2nd).
Greater Ohio got Hank Aaron 5yr(1st), Bob Gibson 5yr(3rd), Lou Brock 5yr(4th), Fergie Jenkins 5yr(5th), and Mickey Lolich 5yr(8th).
Ringgold signed Larry Jackson 1yr(3rd), Curt Flood 2yr(4th), and Willie Horton 4yr(5th).
Pleasenton?gave Jom Kaat 5yr(5th).
Bristol signed Dave McNally 5yr(1st).
Ridge reloaded by adding Willie Stargell 5yr(1st), Joe Torre 5yr(2nd) and Claude Osteen 5yr(3rd).
Congrats to everyone. I hope you enjoy your new players.
DRAFT, the webmaster is working on an issue with the rosters. Once that is corrected I will add the new free agents to their teams and we can start the draft.
WARNING if you are adding guys to your draft list manager please make sure?not to add any of the free agents until I get a chance to add them to their new teams.

1967 postseason awards
Drum Roll...and your 1967 award winners:
?
All-Star
C - Freehan (K'Ville),
2nd team - Casanova (Greater Ohio)
?
1B - Cepeda (Bristol)
Killebrew (Ringgold)
?
2B - Rose (Hazard)
Morgan (Ringgold)
?
3B - Allen (Leathernecks)
Wert (Greater Ohio)
?
SS - Wills (K'Ville)
Fregosi (Pittsburgh)
?
OF - Yastrzemski (Bristol), Aaron (Greater Ohio), Kaline (Ringgold)
Clemente (Hazard), Alou (Ridge's), Wynn (Spark Town!)
?
Fireman
The only unanimous selection in any category...Hazard's dominant closer Ron Taylor, who went 1-0 and collected 27 saves in 32 games. Of course, his .028 ERA didn't hurt, either. Pittsburgh's Dick Farrell was a distant second.
?
Cy Young
K'Ville's Joe Horlen was the winner, with Greater Ohio's Jim Bunning earning runner up honors.
?
MVP
In a curious decision by the voters, Greater Ohio's Hammerin' Hank Aaron narrowly took home the trophy despite runner up Carl Yastrzemski (Bristol) being voted the top outfielder. Both had fantastic seasons, though!
?
Congratulations to all the winners and their GMs! |

Re: JAG 1968 free agency
Can someone remind of the "over-bidding" rule, where I end up signing players for more years than I have (i.e., I bid on a bunch of guys but get way more than expected).
