What You Will Need:
Tube of choice (Taller than wider is best)
Mask:?Gradient_Stripes
Plugins:?penta.com > color dot & drag

Preparation:
Install plugin if necessary
Open mask into PSP and minimize

Performance Notes:
All settings remain the same unless new settings are given.

1) File > Open
Tube of choice
?
2)?Duplicate (Shift+D) & Close original?
?
3) Image > Resize
Settings:
Resample using = Smart Size
Lock aspect ratio = Checked
Resize all layers = Checked
Width = will self adjust
Height = no more than?300 Pixels
*Optional
Adjust > Sharpness > Sharpen
?
4) Dropper Tool
Left click to choose a light?color for your Foreground
Right click to choose a medium/dark color for your Background
?
5) Edit > Copy your tube & minimize
?
6) File > New
Settings:
Width =?280 Pixels
Height = 400 Pixels
Image Characteristics = Raster Background
Transparent = Checked

7) Flood Fill Tool
Settings:
Match mode = None
Sample merged = NOT Checked
Blend mode = Normal
Opacity = 100

Fill layer with Foreground color
